Marcella Leggett age 78 of Heidelberg MS died Monday August 17,2026 at Annie's Angel's Hospice in Bay Springs, MS. Funeral service is Saturday August 22,2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Triumph the Church of God in Christ located at 10578 County Road 210 in Vossburg MS with burial in the church cemetery. A viewing will be 12:00 noon to service time at the church. Mrs. Leggett was born March 27,1948 to the late Louis Bonner and Maudie Lee Satcher in Clarke County Mississippi. She united with Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ at a very early age. During her lifetime, she worked as a teacher for Friends of Children of Mississippi Headstart in Quitman, MS and retired from Sanderson Farms in Laurel, MS. She was a dedicated caretaker of her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was united in holy matrimony to George Allen Leggett Sr. and to this union, God granted them with four loving children. Marcella enjoyed gardening, attending church, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand daughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and oldest brother. She leaves to cherish her memories her four children; Nikki (Kendrick) Collins of Jonesboro, GA, Krystal (Albert) Brooks of Fredericksburg, VA, George Leggett Jr. of Quitman, MS, and Terri (Kerry) Gavin of Heidelberg, MS. Brothers; Lonnie (Jerlene) Bonner, Mack Charles (Shirley) Bonner and Terry (Cynthia) Bonner all of Vossburg, MS. Ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
