Renita Amuri Lane-Pruitt age 20 of Laurel died Sunday May 17,2026 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Funeral service is Saturday May 23,2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Northeast Jones High School Auditorium located at 68 Northeast Drive in Laurel with burial in Mount Moriah MB Church Cemetery located on Stevenson Road in Laurel. A viewing will be 2:00 p.m. to service time Saturday. Renita was born December 4,2005, to Geravia Lane and Maurice Pruitt in Farrell, Pennsylvania. She was known for her infectious smile, kind heart bubbly personality and strong spirt. She was a proud 2024 graduate of Northeast Jones High School where she participated in Tiger Cheer and a member of the Marching Band. She also was attending The University of Southern Mississippi with aspirations of becoming a child psychiatrist. Amuri was a bright light to all who knew a loved her. Her ability to bring joy, comfort and laughter to others will forever be cherished.
